This extensive second course of The Complete Pandeiro Guide is build as a continuation on the first course and requires the mastering of the techniques discussed in the first course!
In this course, we will focus on Brazilian and modern rhythms that are traditionally not played on the pandeiro. You will learn how to play various Maracatu grooves, different Samba Reggae styles, Ijexá and Maculelê. Besides that, we will focus on rare rhythms like the Carimbo, the Caboclo and rhythms from the Brazilian Candomblé religion. A next main chapter will discuss modern concepts on the pandeiro, like Funk grooves, odd meters and subdivisions. Finally, Matthias shows you some effects and tricks that you can use to spice your rhythms, involving even your feet!
